Slow Cooker Apple Butter
 
Ingredients
  • 6 large apples (we used Fuji... your favorite, any baking apple works great!)
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • 1½ tsp cloves
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp salt
Instructions
  1. Peel, core and chop apples.
  2. Add all ingredients to slow cooker.
  3. Cook covered on HIGH for 5 hours. Stir occasionally (not necessary, but I can't not)
  4. Uncover and continue to cook for an hour or until liquid reduces by half.
  5. Put in fridge to cool off. Once cool blend until smooth.
  6. Add to jars. To freeze be sure to leave at least a ¼" of space for expansion.
  7. Apple Butter will last in the fridge for about a week.
